Staying Focused During Uncertain Times

We’re facing tough times: a slowing economy, stalled trade talks, rising layoffs, and hiring freezes.

And if you’re in sales, you’re feeling it.

Here are our tips for staying focused during times like these:

  • Avoid the negative thinkers - Nothing good comes from exposing yourself to others’ negative thinking or unwarranted rumors

  • Get closer to your customers – Provide benefits, market intelligence, leads, and opportunities. Become a value-added component of their business

  • Double down on prospecting – Staying focused on building a pipeline will not only help in the short term, but you’ll be better positioned when the economy improves

  • Stay positive – The last recession (Covid Excluded) ended nearly 15 years ago, which means roughly half of the workforce has never experienced a recession. It is easy to panic and allow negativity to enter your thought process. Things will get better!

Success in tough times isn’t about being flashy – It’s about sticking to your principals and for us at XSELL it’s being Proven, Driven, and Reliable.
